I had never been to the Oregon Coast. Myrna offered to take me on Friday because it was supposed to be 80 degrees and that rarely happens. We got to the ocean in Lincoln City and it was raining and very windy. The wind turned my umbrella inside out. After the rain stopped we decided to go to D Lake where they have a small beach and a wooden playground structure. Addy had lots of fun.

She went down the slide even though it was wet. You can see that she's trying to be careful and not get wet, but of course that didn't work.

Myrna took all these pictures. She knows what angles look good, what lighting is best, which shutter speeds to use, etc. She has a fancy camera that I wouldn't even attempt to use. She does a great job and I am always pleased with the pictures she shares with us.

Addy hasn't shown a real love for swinging. She gets scared really easily, but it looks like she's starting to loosen up a bit.

She is pushing a pretend baby in the swing. She is always looking out for her babies, whether they're with her or not. She has a very good imagination.

Addy stuck her toes in the water at the beach. The water in the lake is warmer than the ocean. It was a refreshing temperature, but not freezing. Addy wanted to get her swimming suit on and go swimming, but there was a warning sign saying that there were toxins from blue green algae detected and to keep children and animals away from the water. I wasn't too worried about her feet, but I didn't want her to put her whole body in. We rinsed her feet off and she's fine.
We had a fun time and I hope to return sometime when it is warm so we can play at the beach.
