Ward Fall Harvest Festival

These are pictures from our Ward Fall Harvest Festival. Addy got to play golf, shoot basketballs, play ring toss, and "go fishing" at the fishing booth. She caught a toothbrush. That was nice since the other kids got candy and I didn't want her to have any. She was genuinely excited. She likes to brush her teeth. She had an apple on a stick, with no caramel, she was none the wiser. She also got a butterfly painted on her face. She thought that was fun.

I didn't get any pictures of her in a Halloween Costume. She wear a Snow White dress to playgroup, but we didn't go to any other costume activities.

The best hairdo yet

I have absolutely loved this hairstyle. It has lasted so long. She has warn it for 2.5 weeks now and it still looks good, not perfect, but still good. These pictures were taken after she had it in for 3 days. Yes, it took a while, over an hour, but it was fun. I found the tutorial on a hair blogging site. That's where I get most of my ideas.

Avocado pudding

I know it sounds weird, gross, etc. but it is really quite good. When you put a ripe avocado in the blender it becomes very smooth and when you add carob or chocolate and a sweetener (ripe banana, agave nectar, honey, or dates), and chill it, it satisfies the craving for a sweet creamy dessert. I dare you to try it. Let me know what you think.

I usually have one avocado with a tablespoon of carob and 1 really ripe banana or 5 dates.

Sleeping, it's what we do

Jordan takes 4 naps daily. Addy is down to only one 2-3 hour nap. One day I left Addy at home with Jordan. When Jordan went down for his nap, he put Addy up to the table and fed her lunch. He left her there and went to sleep. When he woke up, this is what he found. I guess Addy could have benefited from a nap too.

I want to be like You

Addy hasn't really said those words, but she is continually doing things that copy Jordan and I. We thought this was funny. She loves to use the computer like us, but can't reach properly. It was her idea to stack the chairs, but we're helped her with the logistics.

Swimming Lessons

Addy loves to swim now. Before we took swimming lessons she was very resistant and wouldn't let go of me even at the wall. She has become a lot more comfortable and we are taking lessons again to keep up the momentum. I hope she'll get over not wanting to put her face in the water.

Myrna and Mitch came to Addy's last summer swimming lesson and video taped it for me. Addy loves to watch herself swim.
