Addy is such a caregiver. This picture is from last night. Jordan was wanting to spend time with me and that normally means cuddling on the couch. He invited me to join him and Addy said, "You can put your head on my shoulder." Of course, this did not fulfill Jordan's need, but he obliged her for a short time.Last week I was having a very emotional day. I was crying. Addy said, "Do you want to sit on my lap?" as she sat on the floor and tapped her legs. I explained to her that I was too big and would hurt her, so we compromised. I laid down and put my head in her lap. She stroked my head. Then she went and got a pillow, a blanket, and a baby. She placed each item in the appropriate place; the pillow under my head, the blanket covering me, and the doll in my arms. She also brought me her binky. I told her that I didn't want a binky and she told me that I could just pretend. She then proceeded to lay down and cuddle with me.
What a sweet girl I have. I am grateful for her compassion and empathy towards others. I think she will be a very good mommy one day.
