The Caregiver

Addy is such a caregiver. This picture is from last night. Jordan was wanting to spend time with me and that normally means cuddling on the couch. He invited me to join him and Addy said, "You can put your head on my shoulder." Of course, this did not fulfill Jordan's need, but he obliged her for a short time.

Last week I was having a very emotional day. I was crying. Addy said, "Do you want to sit on my lap?" as she sat on the floor and tapped her legs. I explained to her that I was too big and would hurt her, so we compromised. I laid down and put my head in her lap. She stroked my head. Then she went and got a pillow, a blanket, and a baby. She placed each item in the appropriate place; the pillow under my head, the blanket covering me, and the doll in my arms. She also brought me her binky. I told her that I didn't want a binky and she told me that I could just pretend. She then proceeded to lay down and cuddle with me.

What a sweet girl I have. I am grateful for her compassion and empathy towards others. I think she will be a very good mommy one day.

The Hairstylist

After I did Addy's hair on Saturday, she took the pic, comb, elastics, and clips. She put her babies on the chair in front of her and went to work. She was working on these creations for over half an hour. Do you like her style? What do you think, a future Hairstylist in the making?

Weaving Hairstyle

I stole this hairstyle idea from a Hair Blog I follow. It is "The Story of a Princess and Her Hair". She has step by step instructions on how to do the hairstyles along with pictures. This is the only way I'm able to accomplish this. I can not look at a hairstyle and just do it. I need it broken down. I think this hairstyle is pretty, but it didn't last very long, probably because Addy's hair isn't quite long enough for it yet.

Addy's Computer

Grandma Myrna and Grandpa Mitch gave Addy her very own laptop. It is an older Mac computer that they weren't using anymore. She loves this freedom. We have it set up on the little table that you can see in this picture. We have a game up on it and she comes and plays it when she wants. She loves doing what Daddy does.
